Production, characterization and application of ternary phase diagrams for the purification of biodiesel produced from tropical almond seed oil

چکیده

This study presents the application of ternary phase diagrams to tropical almond biodiesel components separation and purification at two temperatures. The seed oil was extracted mechanically alkaline transesterified produce biodiesel. were characterized using standard methods. Tie lines binodal solubility curve data determined modified cloud point titration procedures. Gas chromatographic method employed in analysis compositions. mixture biodiesel, methanol glycerol investigated 20 °C, 30 °C withdrawal times 2 32 minutes intervals. Distribution coefficient, K solvent selectivity, S performed. Results obtained showed that > 1 indicating ability promote purification. < implying there lower quantities solubilized phase. provided means predicting distribution.
